WHO WE ARE

St. Monica Hospital Kisumu is a faith-based healthcare institution founded in 1996 under the patronage of Archbishop Zacchaeus Okoth. Located just 7 km from Kisumu CBD, the hospital has become a trusted provider of healthcare services in Kisumu County and beyond.

Our Journey

1996 – Hospital established to serve Kisumu East.

1999 – Town branch clinic opened at Sifa House, opposite St. Teresa’s Cathedral. .

Today – Serving a catchment population of over 100,000 people

A Milestone

fficial launch of the TaifaCare Hospital Wide wad held at St. Monica Hospital, Kisumu. The occasion was graced by the Chief Guest Most. Rev. Maurice Makumba Muhatai, James Odiga , Digital Health Lead Kisumu, Dr Oliech, CDC, George Odingo CDC, George Owiso, Deputy Director Palladium, Board Members, KCCB ACTS team, St. Monica staff, among other invited guests.

A facility walk-through demonstrated the utilization of TaifaCare end-to-end.

The guests were elated by this achievement with congratulatory remarks. His Grace Maurice Muhatia Makumba posed a challenge that we should endeavour to make the hospital a better place not only for others but also for ourselves, to the extent we can seek care in the same facility..

The 2025 St. Monica’s Day Charity Fundraiser Medical Camp was a memorable and impactful occasion, bringing together faith, healthcare, and community service under one roof. The event blended spiritual nourishment with free medical services and a successful fundraising drive, reaffirming St. Monica Hospital’s mission of service to humanity.

Pharmacy

The hospital pharmacy is fully stocked with essential medicines, making prescriptions convenient for our patients. Our pharmacists also provide guidance on safe and effective use of medication.
